What better day than the 4th of July for Democrat freshmen Rashida Tlaib and Ayanna Presley to trash the Declaration of Independence?
The two locked in on a hateful and inaccurate smear piece from Salon that was titled:
“Fourth of July’s ugly truth exposed: The Declaration of Independence is sexist, racist, prejudiced”
Pressley created a tweet about the article and of course Tlaib was quick to retweet it:
"Our founding fathers were not living gods...they were fallible human beings." The Declaration of Independence "did not condemn slavery, protect the rights of women or include Native Americans." https://t.co/RujjiopufJ

The piece by Matthew Rozsa locked in on the part where the Declaration of Independence did not condemn slavery or guarantee the rights of women. Considering this was a document created by 1776 and the hit job was coming from two super privileged women in 2019, that's pretty rough.
