Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Invites Kamala Harris to Spend 'a lot of time and resources in Florida'

Gov. Ron DeSantis argued Vice President Kamala Harris has "no chance" in Florida. He highlighted the state's many new residents who left California and specifically, San Francisco.

"I really hope Harris spends/wastes a lot of time and resources in Florida," DeSantis said on social media.

"We have Floridians who moved to our state to escape the policies of San Francisco Democrats," he said. "Implementing those policies nationally under a Harris administration is a non-starter." "Kamala has no chance in the Sunshine State," he added.

The governor made the comments in response to an article by Florida’s Voice. It covered the pro-Harris golf cart rally in the Villages over the weekend.

The event sparked Democratic leadership to voice support for Harris' campaign investing energy into Florida.

“I’ve been saying this since @NikkiFried became Chair… DO NOT sleep on Florida!” Democratic National Committee Chairman Jaime Harrison said on social media. "@FlaDems are getting in formation and will shock a lot of folks this November! Our seniors know who has had their backs these past few years!"

"Don’t count Florida out! We are in a moment," Florida Democratic Party Chairwoman Nikki Fried said in response.
