Glenn Jacobs, a former WWE star who was then known as Kane, won reelection to a second term as mayor of Knox County, TN, on Thursday.
The Republican former WWE champ defeated his opponent, labor organizer Debbie Helsley, with about 55% of the vote. During his first term, Jacobs took on a libertarian stance and opposed mask mandates.
Knox County is the third largest county in Tennessee and includes the city of Knoxville.
While speaking with WATE, Jacobs said he plans to focus on education and workforce development along with a continuation of his first term.
“With the global economy moving in the direction of innovation, we have to keep up with that,” he said.
