Dan Crenshaw, a Republican from Texas, got very angry at Fox News and one of their main hosts, Jesse Watters. He shared this anger on Instagram.
This happened because Watters, who works during the main time on Fox News, said Crenshaw was doing something wrong by making money from stocks. Crenshaw responded by calling Watters names like "a clown" and "a hack" in his Instagram stories.
Dan Crenshaw mentioned that Fox News canceled an interview with him because they were upset about his comments against Jesse Watters.
He wrote on Instagram, "LMFAO, Fox just cancelled an interview we had pre-scheduled tonight. Guess I hurt their feelings by calling out their bs."
A person who knows about this situation told the Daily Caller that Crenshaw was supposed to be on Fox Business, but not on any Fox News shows.
Dan Crenshaw said he only invested $10,000 in stocks and never earned more than $20,000 while working in Congress. He thinks Fox News is making up a fake story for attention and that Watters spreads false theories.
In his Instagram story, he said, "Hey you f***ing hack, if you're gonna accuse me of literal corruption, get your facts straight and man up and come accuse me to my face. You're a fucking clown, desperate for clickbait." He called Watters a tool who earns a lot to spread lies on TV and criticizes veterans like himself. Crenshaw warned people that the political entertainment industry often lies.
Dan Crenshaw shared a graph on Instagram showing how much stock each member of Congress owns. It showed that Brian Higgins, Mark Green, and Garrett Graves own a lot more stock than he does.
He was upset while feeding his 3-month-old baby because a Fox News millionaire called him a criminal without proof. Crenshaw told people to stop watching these entertainers and not to believe wealthy people like Jesse Watters, who he says don't understand normal people and lie to them.
Crenshaw also criticized Watters for not following conservative values, mentioning Watters' personal life and marriage. He made a mocking comment about Watters.
Watters divorced his first wife, with whom he has twin daughters, in March 2019. He then married Emma DiGiovine, a younger Fox News producer.
Crenshaw invested in companies like Alphabet, Meta, Apple, and Amazon, and other investments, all between $1,001 to $15,000. He said these were small investments made when the market was low, just like many other Americans do. His spokesperson said all these transactions were under $2,000.
