Fox News Host Leaving Network After 28 Years

Longtime Fox News host Neil Cavuto announced on Thursday that he is leaving the network after 28 years.

Cavuto has been a familiar face since Fox News launched in 1996. He hosted "Your World," "Cavuto Coast to Coast" on Fox Business, and "Cavuto Live" on Saturdays. His final day at the network is reportedly Thursday, as he plans to announce during his show, according to Mediaite.

Fox News expressed their admiration for Cavuto's career in a statement.

“Neil Cavuto’s illustrious career has been a master class in journalism, and we’re extremely proud of his incredible 28-year run with FOX News Media,” the network said. “His programs have defined business news and set the standard for the entire industry. We wish him a heartfelt farewell and all the best on his next chapter.”

Cavuto reportedly turned down the terms of a new contract offered by the network. Despite Fox News wanting him to stay, he decided to move on, according to Mediaite.

His shows will feature rotating hosts until Fox News finalizes a new lineup. “Coast to Coast” on Fox Business will transition to “Fox Business Live” with temporary hosts filling his role.

Cavuto’s departure marks the end of a significant era for Fox News. His presence shaped the network’s identity in both general and business news.

Viewers now wait to see how Fox will adapt to this change as they bid farewell to a cornerstone of their programming.
