Fox News released the result of a poll they ran from August 11th through August 13th regarding the 2020 election. During that time there were 1,013 registered voters who voted in the poll.
The poll asked people, "If the 2020 presidential election were held today, how would you vote if the candidates were…" and then had Trump against each of his Democratic opponents.
Here are the reported results:
-Joe Biden (50%), Donald Trump (38%)
-Bernie Sanders (48%), Donald Trump (39%)
-Kamala Harris (45%), Donald Trump (39%)
-Elizabeth Warren (46%), Donald Trump (39%)
In addition, the survey also asked pollers about favorability of each candidate, to which President Trump only received a 42% rating.
Since November of 2016, when Trump’s net favorability was -22 in the Fox poll, his ratings have bobbed up and down, usually moving between the lower to mid-40s.
The survey also asked: “How satisfied are you with the way things are going in the country today – are you very satisfied, somewhat satisfied, not very satisfied or not at all satisfied?” A combined 40% said they are “very” or “somewhat” satisfied, while a combined 59% said they are “not very” or “not at all” satisfied.
It sounds to me like the poll was not advertised, or only advertised to people who still live in their parent's basement. Overall, from people I have spoken to, Trump is widely liked. I even know of many people who used to vote Democrat who like Trump as president as well.
Fox News is starting to lean left and they are losing a lot of viewers because of it.
