George Lopez, famously known for his role in the George Lopez comedy sitcom, is no longer making people laugh with his comments. Rather, he is threatening the president’s life, and engaging in talk that is extremely concerning.
The actor responded to an Iranian bounty to assassinate Donald Trump, which offered $80 million for the president’s head. Lopez commented and said that he would do it for $40 million instead.
Chicano Worldstar reported on Instagram, “[Iranian] authorities have put a bounty on American President Donald Trump’s head during the televised funeral of General [Qasem Soleimani] after he was assassinated last week,” and then asked, “What are your thoughts?”
The Lopez commented from his official account, “We’ll do it for half.”
Yep, right there in black and white, George Lopez said that he would assassinate the leader of the free world. Will secret service be showing up at his door? I sure hope so. If the tides were reversed and someone said that about Obama, there would be hell to pay.

Trump on Thursday ordered the drone strike that killed Iranian Gen. Qasem Soleimani near a Baghdad airport. Both the president and the Department of Defense defended the killing as an action against “imminent” threats posed by the Quds general to U.S. diplomats and service members.
However, during Soleimani’s funeral on Iranian state TV, a eulogist could be heard calling for an $80 million bounty on the U.S. president’s heat, one dollar for every person in Iran. It was unclear if the call officially came from the Iranian government.
