The discovery of a 24-year-old man living in the attic of a Washington state home left the homeowner in shock, as the homeowner became aware of the situation due to the scent of cigarette smoke and missing items from the property.
On Monday, the homeowner, who has not been identified, contacted the police when he traced the source of the cigarette smoke and found evidence of someone residing in the loft space of a structure on his premises.
"They found a makeshift bed, clothes that didn't belong to them, food that was halfway eaten, drug paraphernalia, a heater turned on upstairs," police stated in their report.
Additionally, he informed the authorities that he had lost approximately $3,000, as well as his passport, a wallet containing bank cards, and a license.

The police confiscated the items found in the attic and advised the homeowner that the individual living there may come back.
Their prediction was correct.
The following day, the homeowner contacted the police again, reporting that he had been locked out of the building. Upon arriving at the scene, the authorities discovered that Daniel Tomoiaga was inside the property, holding all of the items that were purportedly stolen from the homeowner.
