Jimmy Kimmel Appears on Stephen Colbert Show to Cry

Jimmy Kimmel tore into President Donald Trump after being briefly pulled off the air. The suspension came after he lied about the suspect accused of assassinating Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk.

Kimmel vented during an appearance on Stephen Colbert’s show. “Did you ever think the President of the United States would be celebrating your unemployment?” Colbert asked.

“I mean, that son of a btch,” Kimmel shot back. “It's really unbelievable. Mr. Son of a Btch. I mean, Mr. Son of a B*tch.”

He didn’t stop there. “I never imagined that we'd ever have a president like this, and I hope we don't ever have another president like this again.”

Kimmel blasted Trump for cheering on mass layoffs. “I never even imagined there would ever be a situation in which the president of our country was celebrating hundreds of Americans losing their jobs with somebody who took pleasure in that.”

The late-night host tied it to Trump’s effort to downsize government. “That, to me, is the absolute opposite of what a leader of this country is supposed to be,” he said.

Kimmel was suspended for falsely claiming that suspect Tyler Robinson was on the right. The move set off fights over free speech, media bias, and corporate politics. Democrats cried cancel culture, while others accused the FCC of overreach.

ABC later brought him back, but the fallout was brutal. Ratings sank 64% in the days that followed.

Insiders say Disney was already weighing cutting ties. One source claimed CEO Bob Iger “doesn’t want to be at war with Donald Trump right now.” Kimmel’s contract is up at the end of the season.
