Bronny James, the son of NBA legend LeBron James, experienced a heart attack while exercising at USC's Galen Center on Monday, according to a statement from a family representative.
"Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest," a spokesperson for the James family said in a statement. "Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU.
"We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information. LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes."

The Athletic reported on Tuesday that James had been moved out of the ICU and was now in a stable condition.
The event took place at the Trojans' home turf where they also conduct their training. Their 2023-24 season is not due to start until later in the year.
A spokesperson from the University of Southern California said, "We are not in a position to comment out of respect for student privacy."
In May, Bronny James pledged his commitment to USC, favoring the Trojans over Ohio State and Oregon. He held the 33rd rank in his class and had been recognized as a McDonald's All-American earlier this year.
During James's time at Sierra Canyon High School in California, the school achieved a 95-22 record. In his senior season, he managed to average 14.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.8 steals per game.
