Megyn Kelly Shares Shocking Statistics on Fox News's Post-Tucker Carlson Collapse

During the show this week, Alex Jones talked about his conversation with Tucker Carlson and individuals who are closely associated with him. Alex claimed that among the various narratives about Carlson's abrupt departure, the Vanity Fair account was the most accurate.

To put it simply, Tucker Carlson had a dinner with Rupert Murdoch and his fiancée. During the dinner, Tucker expressed his affection for God, to which Rupert's fiancée responded by professing her love for both Tucker and God. Rupert, who is an atheist and uncomfortable with religious discussions, became upset and broke off the engagement. As a result, Carlson found himself without a home at Fox News.

Assuming the aforementioned account is entirely accurate, it implies that Murdoch's petty behavior led to the termination of his top-rated host. This information is pertinent as Megyn Kelly proceeds to reveal the astonishing decline of Fox News since that eventful day. The network's troubles began with a 47% drop in viewership during the 8:00 PM timeslot and a staggering 59% decline in the 25-54 age group.

They’re left with about a third of their audience. I mean that’s stunning and I looked up and down the board at the rest of the prime time which, with all due respect to the daytime, is all anyone gives a sh*t about over there at Fox News. The prime time pays the bills. Period.

This adds weight to the prevalent online hypothesis that Fox News is responsible for leaking "humiliating" videos of Tucker Carlson to Media Matters as a means of salvaging their reputation and rationalizing his dismissal. However, Fox News allegedly sent a "cease and desist" notice to Media Matters when they realized that the leaked videos were only boosting Carlson's popularity.
