Michelle Obama: 'The World Feels that Barack is still Their President'

"[T]here are so many people who feel like he is their president.” -Michelle Obama

On Tuesday, former first lady Michelle Obama spoke at the Obama Foundation Summit, held at the Illinois Institute of Technology. She was explaining to attendees why Chicago's Jackson Park was the chosen location for the Obama Presidential Center, stating that it was because it is close to their former home as well at near her childhood home in South Side.

Breitbart reports:

In June, a federal judge ruled plans to build the $500 million presidential center on Chicago’s lakefront could move forward, dismissing advocacy group Protect Our Parks’s lawsuit objecting to the use of public park land.

If she'd just left it at that, there wouldn't be an issue. However, Michelle went on to say that they could have chosen anywhere in the world to build the center because there are so "many" people who feel like Barack Obama is still "their president."

“There’s power in the selection of Jackson Park,” Michelle said, “Barack and I don’t do things incidentally. There’s a strategy.”

“Barack’s presidential library could have been anywhere in the world, because there are so many people who feel like he is their president,” the former first lady continued, “New York wanted it. Hawaii wants it. Because it’s also an economic engine."

I don't know about you, but I don't know of anyone who still thinks of him as their president. In fact, in addition to all the conservatives I know, many of my Democratic acquaintances are also glad he's out of office. The man is a dirty, crooked, spineless joke of a "leader."

The Obamas think they still run the show, alongside Hillary Clinton, and they're all sadly mistaken. Instead of attempting to be a shadow president, Obama should tuck his tail and go enjoy his life when he (and Clinton) should be in jail.
