Former First Lady Michelle Obama, like her husband, is stepping out of the shadows once again to stir the pot. She took a long needed break from the hard work of relaxing in her $15 million estate in order to incite more protests and anger among 2020 graduates.
On Sunday, Obama gave a speech to the high school and college graduates of 2020 via a virtual commencement. During that speech, she encouraged protests and anger. She told them to be loud and not let anyone change their mind.
“In light of the current state of our country, I struggled to find the right words of wisdom for you today,” Michelle Obama said. “I am here today to talk to you not as the former first lady, but as a real live person: a mother; a mentor; a citizen concerned about your future and the future of our country.”
“Over these past couple of months our foundation has been shaken — not just by a pandemic that stole too many of our loved ones, upended our daily lives, and sent tens of millions into unemployment, but also by the rumbling of the age-old fault lines that our country was built on: the lines of race and power that are now, once again, so nakedly exposed for all of us to grapple with," she continued.
“For those of you who feel invisible: Please know that your story matters. Your ideas matter. Your experiences matter. Your vision for what our world can and should be matters. So, don’t ever, ever let anyone tell you that you’re too angry, or that you ‘should keep your mouth shut,'” the former first lady added.
Our story does matter. Our ideas, experience, and vision do matter. However, I find it ironic that she is giving that message. You see, liberals think that ideas and visions matter and want people to be loud about their beliefs until those beliefs don't align with the liberal agenda.
I can't tell you how many times in the past week alone I have seen my black Conservative friends be attacked and called nasty names for not going along with the BLM narrative and not taking part in the fake victimhood. They stood up for what they believe in, but they were told to keep their mouth shut.
So who is Michelle talking to? Everyone? Or just those who align with what she believes?
It's a good pep talk, if you're a Democrat.
