Earlier this month Griner pled guilty to drug possession and smuggling and received a nine-year prison sentence. The former Baylor star was caught at a Russian airport with vaporizer cartridges containing hashish oil.
Last month President Joe Biden claimed to be working on her release, but nothing has become of it yet.
Rodman became a friend with Kim Jong Un as the North Korean leader is a big-time basketball fan and happens to be a fan of the Chicago Bulls specifically. Rodman starred with the Bulls from 1996 to 1998.
