The press is widely known for giving a point of view that fits their narrative. Whether that narrative is to incite fear or anger, the tactic is the same. Mainstream media sources have been caught time and time again using bits and pieces of videos or interviews, or even using photos and videos, to deceive their viewers to believe something happened differently than it really did.
NBC's “Meet the Press” is now eating crow and apologizing after they edited a clip of Attorney General William Barr speaking.
“You’re correct. Earlier today, we inadvertently and inaccurately cut short a video clip of an interview with AG Barr before offering commentary and analysis,” they tweeted on Sunday. “The remaining clip included important remarks from the attorney general that we missed, and we regret the error."
This came after DOJ spokesperson Kerri Kupec tweeted that she was "very disappointed" with the news program, and host Chuck Todd, for their dishonesty in editing the clip regarding the DOJ's decision to drop charges against Michael Flynn.

President Donald Trump also slammed Todd and called for him to be fired. “He knew exactly what he was doing. Public Airwaves = Fake News!" he tweeted.

Todd referenced the CBS interview, and played a clip during which an interviewer can be heard asking Barr, “When history looks back on this decision, how do you think it will be written?”
“Well, history is written by the winners. So, it largely depends on who’s writing the history,” Barr responds in the shortened clip.
After the clip, Todd said he was “struck” by the “cynicism” of Barr’s answer.
“It’s a correct answer. But he’s the attorney general. He didn’t make the case that he was upholding the rule of law. He was almost admitting that, yeah, this is a political job,” Todd said.
In the full interview, Barr’s responded: “Well, history is written by the winner. So it largely depends on who’s writing the history. But I think a fair history would say that it was a good decision because it upheld the rule of law.”
Always take the news with a grain of salt. Unless you see the interview live, then you should always question the validity. Do your research. Our media is very dishonest and will do whatever they can to not only make the Trump administration look bad, but to also get views and make more money.
