On Monday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appeared on CNN to speak about President Donald Trump and his announcement that he is taking hydrochloroquine and zinc as a preventative measure against coronavirus.
She argued that he should not be taking it, and added that he is morbidly obese.
CNN host Anderson Cooper asked, “Madam Speaker, what is your reaction to the president saying he is now taking hydroxychloroquine? Are you concerned?”
Pelosi responded, “As far as the president is concerned, he’s our president and I would rather he not be taking something that has not been approved by the scientists, especially in his age group and in his, shall we say, weight group — morbidly obese they say.”
She added, “So I think it’s not a good idea.”
Since when does she care about Trump or his health?
Really? Morbidly obese? Even on the BMI scale (which is severely off track if you ask me), he is only considered "overweight" rather than "obese" or "morbidly obese" at his age, height, and weight.
In all honesty, I think the BMI scale is wack. According to that (which goes by WHO recommendations), I am considered "obese" at 5'7 and 180 lbs. I am not saying that I am a skinny mini by any means. I just had a baby. However, I am not obese or high health risk, as they suggest.
I guess Pelosi doesn't care about any of that though. If she sees even the slightest chance to take a swipe at Trump, she takes it.
