Prior to the Monday Night Football game between the Dolphins and the Titans, broadcast by ESPN, legendary former quarterback Peyton Manning contacted Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel.
Manning, who hosts an alternate 'Manningcast' broadcast with his brother, former Giants star Eli, on Mondays, reached out to McDaniel to gain insights before the game.
In response, Coach McDaniel sent Manning a humorous text message.
After Peyton Manning requested 10 minutes from the Miami coach, McDaniel humorously replied, 'Um f* yes you're f**** Payton Manning bro,' inadvertently misspelling the NFL legend's name.
McDaniel's squad seemed poised for a 10-3 record until an unexpected late-game turnaround against Tennessee occurred. With a 27-13 lead and only 4:34 left on the clock, Miami ultimately fell 28-27 after conceding touchdowns to Nick Westbrook Ikhine (accompanied by a two-point conversion) and Derrick Henry.
