Police Suspended After Brutal Video of Them Beating Suspect Goes Viral

A video of three Arkansas police officers brutally beating a suspect over the weekend. Since then the three officers have reportedly been suspended.

The man who was beaten has since been identified as Randall Worcester. According to a report from TVH11, Worcester was threatening convenience store employees and threatened to "cut off their face."

After the incident, Worcester took off on a bike and was eventually found by police. At one point they were having a “calm and civil” discussion before Worcester tried to attack one of them, sparking the scene from the viral video to transpire.

In the viral video one of the officers is holding the suspect down while the other one pounds him. A third officers drops some knees on the suspect.

Republican Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson said authorities are investigating the situation.

“I have spoken with Col. Bill Bryant of the Arkansas State Police and the local arrest incident in Crawford County will be investigated pursuant to the video evidence and the request of the prosecuting attorney,” Hutchinson tweeted.

Two of the police officers in the viral video were with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office while the third officer is with the Mulberry Police Department. The New York Post reported they spoke with the Mulberry Police Department.

“In reference to the video circulating social media involving two Crawford County Deputies, we have requested that Arkansas State Police conduct the investigation and the Deputies have been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation,” Crawford County Sheriff Jimmy Damante said in a statement, per the New York Post. “I hold all my employees accountable for their actions and will take appropriate measures in this matter.”
