President Trump Declares Victory Over Taylor Swift

President Donald Trump has once again taken aim at pop superstar Taylor Swift, reigniting a long-simmering feud with a bold claim on Truth Social Friday morning.

“Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?’” Trump posted, suggesting his criticism has impacted the singer's popularity.

The spat between Trump and Swift dates back to September 2024, when Trump lashed out at the artist after she endorsed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris for president. At the time, Swift told her 278 million Instagram followers, “I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.”

Trump, in response, declared on Fox & Friends that he was “not a Taylor Swift fan” and predicted she’d “pay a price for it in the marketplace.”

“She’s a very liberal person,” Trump said. “It was just a matter of time. She always backs the Democrats.”

In that same interview, Trump contrasted Swift with Brittany Mahomes, wife of NFL star Patrick Mahomes, praising her after she liked one of his posts on social media. “She’s a big Trump fan,” Trump said.

Swift, 35, concluded her record-breaking Eras Tour in December and has kept a relatively low public profile since, though she remains in headlines due to her high-profile relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Trump’s latest jab appears to be more personal than political, reflecting a broader pattern in his public commentary toward celebrities who oppose him. Swift, meanwhile, has yet to respond publicly.
