Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib opposes the Democratic 2020 platform and Joe Biden. On Saturday the Michigan lawmaker claimed that she does not support the platform because it does not contain a single-payer healthcare system.
“Today, I cast my DNC ballot and voted NO on the proposed platform,” Tlaib tweeted. “I constantly hear from constituents demanding we push for a single-payer system and away from this for-profit system that is leaving people to suffer and die just because they cannot afford health care.”
“As a party, we must push for a future where every resident has the ability to thrive. That means we need a platform that works to rid our society of oppression and greed. Unfortunately, in my view this platform does not do enough,” she continued.

Tlaib posted a photo showing that she voted no to the proposed platform and also cast a vote for Senator Bernie Sanders.
Bernie supporters could go a long way toward a November victory over President Trump. In 2016 they were not as supportive for Hillary Clinton as many stayed home.
