Once the plane landed, law enforcement promptly arrested the suspect, charging them with violating aviation security laws.
The aircraft was in transit to Daegu Airport, located in the southeastern region of the Korean peninsula. According to reports, the suspect purportedly opened the emergency door when the plane was descending at an altitude of approximately 700 feet.
As a result of the strong winds caused by the opening of the emergency door, twelve passengers were reported to have been sufficiently affected to necessitate hospitalization. Some of these individuals complained of breathing difficulties and ear pain due to the sudden decompression of the aircraft cabin.
The identity of the passenger responsible for opening the emergency door and subsequently being apprehended remains unknown at present.
