Subway Unveils New $5 Footlong Item and Next Week It's Available for Free

First came the footlong sandwiches. Then the giant cookies. Now Subway’s going all in with nachos.

Meet the Doritos Footlong Nachos. Crunchy. Cheesy. 12 inches of snack chaos. Only here for a limited time.

The $5 nachos hit menus on Thursday, April 3. A whole bag of Doritos Nacho Cheese chips gets dumped out. Then comes cheddar cheese sauce, shredded Monterey cheddar, tomatoes, onions, jalapeños, and a Baja chipotle drizzle.

Want more? Add rotisserie-style chicken or steak—no extra charge. Avocado’s extra, but it’s an option.

Testers were confused at first. “I thought it was from Taco Bell,” one said. That Doritos vibe threw them off. But the chipotle sauce gave Subway away.

Some were let down by the “footlong” name. “I expected a 12-inch chip,” one person said. Instead, it was regular chips spread over a footlong tray.

These nachos aren’t alone. Subway’s also serving footlong cookies, churros from Cinnabon, pretzels from Auntie Anne’s, and meat-and-cheese Dippers. The giant Oreo cookie? That was a hit—but it’s gone now.

There’s a freebie coming too. On April 10, Rewards members can score the nachos for free with any footlong sub. Available online, in the app, or in-store with your account phone number.
