TGI Fridays Sued Because Their Mozzarella Sticks Are Missing a Key Ingredient

When you order mozzarella sticks from a restaurant it's kind of a given they will actually contain mozzarella. One would imagine. Well, this is not the case at TGI Fridays.

A lawsuit alleges that TGI Fridays is using false advertisement for their mozzarella sticks since they don't actually contain mozzarella.

It turns out these mozzarella sticks do contain cheese, just not mozzarella. So it's time for a lawsuit. You have got to be kidding me.

Mozzarella fanatic Amy Joseph purchased a six-pack of TGI Friday's mozzarella sticks from Amazon for $22.95. She claims she was tricked by the company’s misleading image of deep-fried mozzarella sticks when it's actually cheddar.

Her lawsuit states that the massive restaurant chain “individually and acting jointly, collectively, and in concert together, created, developed, reviewed, authorized, and are responsible for the textual and graphic content on the packaging of the Products.”

The suit has been allowed to move forward by a federal judge. The suit is only against Inventure Foods and not the actual restaurant TGI Fridays. The court granted TGIF’s motion of dismissal because all they do is license their trademarked logo to Inventure. Fridays doesn’t make the actual food itself.

What a time to be alive.
