Trump Hilariously Boasts of His Ability to 'Weave': 'I don't ramble'

Former President Trump boasted about his ability to "weave" during rally speeches, defending himself against critics who say he "rambles."

On comedian Andrew Schulz's "Flagrant" podcast, Trump was asked about the two assassination attempts against him.

Instead of answering directly, he complimented the hosts for their "great questions" and quickly shifted to criticizing the "fake news."

"But some of these questions are much better!" Trump said.

"Well, thank you. I appreciate it," co-host Akaash Singh replied, then added, "but you still haven't answered."

"That was the best dodge of the question!" Schulz joked.

"I'm trying to get out of it," Trump laughed.

After more talk about the assassination attempts, Trump explained his speaking technique.

"I do a thing called the weave," he said. "Some people say, ‘This guy is a genius.’ Others say, ‘Oh, he rambles.’ I don't ramble."

He explained to Schulz, "You weave things, and you need an extraordinary memory. A weave is only good if you come back to where you started."

Schulz responded, "They don't give you credit for that. You can go way over here."

"I can go far," Trump said, making the hosts laugh. "And I come back to exactly where I started. Now, someday when you don’t…"

"You're Biden," Schulz quipped.

Trump went on, "I call it the weave. Some people think it's genius. But others say, ‘He was rambling.’ No, it’s the weave. We should make ‘the weave’ a staple."

"You’re weaving out of my question twice," Singh joked.

"I don’t even want to know the answer," Schulz said.

"Let’s weave back," Trump said, admitting he avoids the question because he doesn’t want to falsely accuse anyone.

Critics often say Trump, now 78, rambles in his speeches, especially after 81-year-old President Biden left the 2024 race.

The New York Times even published a story titled, "Trump’s Speeches, Increasingly Angry and Rambling, Reignite the Question of Age."

The article claimed Trump "rambles, repeats himself, and jumps from thought to thought" with some ideas being "fantastical." Critics, it said, have long questioned Trump’s mental fitness.
