The Biden team joined Truth Social on Monday, a platform established by former President Trump, expanding its presence on a platform primarily influenced by the former president and his supporters.

The campaign subsequently shared a post showcasing a video snippet of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) critiquing Trump's stance on the national debt.
“A thing about campaigns is sometimes you just do things for the lolz,” commented Rob Flaherty, a deputy manager for the Biden campaign, on X, previously referred to as Twitter, discussing the choice to sign up for Truth Social.
Fox News initially revealed that the Biden campaign would be joining Truth Social, a platform established by Trump in 2021 and introduced in 2022. This came after Trump's suspension from major social media networks, including the platform once known as Twitter, in the aftermath of the Jan. 6 Capitol riots.
Since then, Trump predominantly uses Truth Social for his posts. He boasts over 6 million followers there, a smaller number compared to his approximate 87 million followers on X.
