New voter registration statistics in Florida show Governor Ron DeSantis's run has the state headed in a very positive direction for the Republican Party.
A comparison of the voter registration statistics between October 2018 to July 2022 shows Florida has gone from 13,278,070 overall voters to 14,315,755 voters.
During that time, Democratic Party enrollment rose from 4,962,064 to 4,944,867, which is an increase of only 17,197 people.

Non-affiliated voters rose from 3,549,094 to 3,905,562, which is an increase of around 10%.
During that same time, the Republican Party exploded. in 2018 the Republican Party had 4,681,598 voters, which was less than the Democratic Party.
The July 2022 numbers show Florida with 5,191,018 Republicans. That means from the 2018 election until this summer, the Florida GOP added 509,420 people. That is a 10% bump.
So while Republicans and non-affiliated voters have increased by 10%, Democrat voters have barely gone up at all.
