CNN anchor Don Lemon and their guests, New York Times columnist and CNN contributor Wajahat Ali and ex-GOP strategist Rick Wilson, who called Trump supporters "credulous boomer rubes,” are showing exactly why Trump won the first time and why he will win again.
Using fake southern accents, the two men made fun of southerners who are Trump supporters, painting them as dumb, illiterate hicks. In return, Lemon laughed so hard that he cried.
Really? That’s the trash CNN chooses to air?
Wilson said that Trump couldn’t find Ukraine on a map, even if there was a big “U” next to a picture of a crane. He continued, "That's partly him playing to the base and playing to their audience: You know, the credulous boomer rube demo that backs Donald Trump, that wants to think that, [heavy southern accent] 'Donald Trump's the smart one and y'all elitists are dumb!'"
The arrogance, the dismissiveness, the smug cackling, the accents.

"You elitists with your geography and your maps and your spelling!" Ali responded in a southern accent.
“And your math and your readin'!" Wilson added. "All those lines on a map!"
"Only them elitists know where Ukraine is!" Ali continued.
"That was a good one. I needed that," Lemon said once he was able to stop laughing.
As someone from the south, I do not appreciate being made fun of for my accent. I guarantee you I know dozens of people, also from the south, who are smarter than theses three men combined. An accent has absolutely nothing to do with IQ.
The clip received a lot of backlash on Twitter, with Trump calling Don Lemon the “dumbest man on television.”
