I seem to have an extremely unpopular opinion when it comes to the left, but what else is new? We do NOT need to continue wasting time and money on stimulus checks. What we NEED is to re-open businesses and the economy! Allow people to go back to work and make money to support their families! That is what we want and need.
The government can keep their money as far as I am concerned! I don't want Pelosi's pity change. I want to go spend my money at local businesses and support my community! I want to see thriving business owners taking care of their families and I want to see my neighbors putting food on the table without worrying where their next meal will come from.
The line in the sand was drawn long ago. The people are waking up, and we are not okay with the blatant government overreach and tyranny! More and more people are getting fed up. The constitution does not pause because of a virus or pandemic.
We have governors attempting to ban bibles in churches (Knox, Tennessee) and other governors blocking the sale of essentials like clothes and seeds (Michigan). Now the government is getting upset that people are protesting, and New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio released a statement saying that no one in the city is allowed to protest outside. Really?? Once again, literally in our First Amendment right!
So as Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Speaker Nancy Pelosi work to unveil what they are calling a "Rooseveltian" stimulus relief package, I say they can keep it. They can keep it and Americans should reopen their businesses and rebuild their lives.
