Wendy's Has an All-New Meal Fans Are Ready to Devour

As fast food chains race to launch their own version of Snack Wraps before McDonald’s reclaims the spotlight, Wendy’s is swerving into a spicier lane. But it’s not going where you might expect.

Wendy’s already did the chicken wrap thing. Now, it’s turning up the heat with a fiery new partnership that fans didn’t see coming.

Starting June 20, Wendy’s is teaming up with Takis for an all-new Takis Fuego Meal that promises bold heat, crunchy textures, and serious flavor. The spicy combo will be available in Canada beginning June 30.

The Takis Fuego Chicken Sandwich is the star of the show. It layers Wendy’s spicy chicken filet with a zesty Chili Lime Sauce inspired by Takis, cheddar cheese sauce, crushed Takis Fuego chips, and a creamy corn spread that gives off street corn vibes. All of it is piled on a toasted bun for a taste that’s full throttle.

John Li, Wendy’s Global VP of Culinary Innovation, says the corn spread is the secret weapon. While Takis burgers have been available in Wendy’s Latin American locations, Li explained that chicken just “went so well” with the flavor profile, and given chicken’s popularity this year, the timing was perfect.

To complete the meal, Wendy’s is debuting Fuego Fries. These are their signature Hot & Crispy Fries tossed in Takis seasoning and served in a new to-go bag that lets you rip off the top and snack straight from the source. It’s messy in the best way, minus the red-dusted fingers—unless you’re into that.

The fries get their kick from a chili lime blend that mirrors the signature heat of Takis. They’re bold, tangy, and built for fans of spicy snacking. The bag presentation is a clever nod to Takis fans who love eating chips right from the pack.

The Takis Fuego Chicken Sandwich and Fuego Fries are available à la carte or as part of a full meal with a drink. It’s a limited-time offer, but with buzz building since March, demand is likely to spike fast.

Wendy’s has leaned hard into playful brand collaborations lately, from SpongeBob’s Krabby Patties to Thin Mints Frosties and Baconator-flavored Cheez-Its. The Takis drop is just the latest twist in its summer of bold moves—and this one’s got serious heat.
