The White House verified that the Biden administration allocated over $100 billion towards the conflict in Ukraine, as revealed by documents acquired by Fox News Digital. This disclosure was in reply to a request from the Office of Management and Budget by Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, alongside over 30 other Senate Republicans. They had sought a comprehensive report in January detailing the security support extended to Ukraine.
More than 7 months later, Fox News Digital procured the letter and spreadsheet from the OMB in response to Vance's query.
Shalanda Young, the Director of OMB, authored a letter to Vance detailing the security support the U.S. has given to Ukraine since February 24, 2022.
"With bipartisan Congressional support, the United States has provided security, economic, and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine as it continues to fight to defend its sovereignty following Russia’s brutal invasion," Young wrote. "This support has been critical to Ukraine’s success on the battlefield, as well as the ability of its people to endure under harsh conditions."
The table indicates that the Office of Management and Budget has allocated/executed a sum of $101,198,000,000.
Beyond the $101.2 billion already expended, the spreadsheet suggests intentions to allocate another $9.8 billion.
The table provides a detailed breakdown of expenditures from the Department of Defense, Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, State Department, and other federal entities offering support.
