Behar Tells Dems not to Announce Gun Bans: 'Just Wait till Elected, then Take Them'

ABC's "The View" has always been annoying. However, the hosts on the show have been getting increasingly more annoying as time goes on.

On Monday's broadcast, the hosts were discussing 2020 presidential candidate Beto O-Rourke's failed campaign as he announced that he was dropping out of the race on Friday.

O’Rourke allegedly sent out an email to supporters stating that he will not be running for office next year. So not only will he not be running for president any longer, but he also won’t be throwing in a bid to be a Senate candidate for Texas.

“Though it is difficult to accept, it is clear to me now that this campaign does not have the means to move forward successfully,” O’Rourke said.

“My service to the country will not be as a candidate or as the nominee. Acknowledging this now is in the best interests of those in the campaign; it is in the best interests of this party as we seek to unify around a nominee; and it is in the best interests of the country,” he added.

Co-host Joy Behar commented on his call for "assault-style" gun bans. She laughed and said, “They should not tell everything they’re going to do. If you are going to take people’s guns away, wait until you get elected and then take them away. Don’t tell them ahead of time.”

Co-host Meghan McCain responded, “By the way, that’s what people like me think you’re going to do, so I appreciate his honesty.”

The discussion begins around the three minute mark but for Behar's comment and McCain's response, skip ahead to 7:15:

This just goes to show that Democrats are willing to do whatever it takes to win. Even if that means deceiving people. It would be incredibly wrong to pretend to support our constitutional rights in order to get votes, and then attempt to take them away once elected.

That's how wars are started.
