Georgia State Representative Ginny Ehrhart is stepping out of the politically correct norm and proposes making it a felony for doctors to perform gender transition surgeries on minors. In addition to the gender transition, it would also ban performing mastectomy, vasectomy, castration, genital mutilation, puberty-blocking drugs, and cross-sex hormone therapy.
“The removal of otherwise healthy or non-diseased body parts from minor children would also be prohibited,” she said via press release.
State Rep. Ginny Ehrhart, R-Powder Springs, said the legislation aims to protect children from having irreversible procedures done when they are young. Current law requires a parent to consent to surgery or for a minor to be prescribed medication.
While the bill is still being drafted, Ehrhart said Georgia medical providers who perform surgeries or administer or prescribe medications that assist minors with gender transition could be charged with a felony. The legislation would not affect doctors working with adults who seek to undergo gender transition.
“We’re talking about children that can’t get a tattoo or smoke a cigar or a cigarette in the state of Georgia but can be castrated and get sterilized,” Ehrhart declared, and she's right! These kids cannot even buy tobacco or a lottery ticket, but they're being allowed to get life altering surgeries performed. Surgeries that will have life-long effects on them, both mentally and physically.
Georgia Equality (an LGBTQ rights organization) Executive Director Jeff Graham has called Ehrhart's proposal "shameful," and slammed her for even suggesting that the current laws need amended.
“This legislation would criminalize decisions that are made carefully within families in consultation with medical professionals and mental health professionals,” Graham said sharply, “Supporting children in recognizing their gender identity is not only humane, it saves lives and strengthens families.”
In her press release, Ehrhart included quotes from an Atlanta-based pediatric endocrinologist, Dr. Quentin Van Meter, who said the proposal is needed to protect children from “medical experimentation based on wishful social theory.”
“These children are suffering from a psychological condition without biologic basis,” he said. “Using the bludgeon of threatened suicide as justification is first of all cruel, and secondly, not supported by valid published studies.”
I agree with Ehrhart. If the person is too young to even buy tobacco or alcohol then what makes people think that their underdeveloped brains should be allowed to make such serious medical decisions?

Elizabeth Warren Calls for Round 2 of Impeachments, This Time It's Different
We've finally ended the witch hunt against Donald Trump as far as the impeachment trial in the Senate goes, but there are still some members of Congress who are ready to get things started up again right away.
It was clear from Day 1 that we all knew how the impeachment charade was going to end. We knew that the Senate would easily acquit President Trump because the Democrats did such a poor job at making up their "evidence" against the President. Continue reading...
Female Lawmaker Introduces Bill to Force Vasectomies at Age 50 or After Third Child
For the last few years, all I have seen I seen is "#MeToo" and "my body, my choice." Women have marched and preached that men should not be able to make laws regarding women's bodies because they do not have a uterus.
For one, that is grossly wrong. A person does not have to have a uterus to know that abortion is murder and murder is wrong. For women to march for the "right" to murder their unborn children is beyond me. Continue reading…
New Bill Would Ban Male Students from Competing in Women's Sports
A new Tennessee bill would require that students playing sports would have to play with the team that matches the gender identification that they were assigned at birth. Of course the bill is being called "demeaning" by activists.
I think it's only fair that athletes compete against other athletes of the same biological sex! Males play males and females play females. Continue reading...
