Mitt Romney Goes In-Depth About His Love of Weiners

On Wednesday, Republican Senator Mitt Romney from Utah caught the attention of his Twitter followers with an unusual video in which he enthusiastically expressed his fondness for hot dogs.

Addressing the video to "everyone commemorating" National Hot Dog Day, Romney indicated that it's a significant holiday in our nation, seemingly observed by all (although I personally didn't receive any official notification). It appears that July 19th holds a unique importance in our country, with Romney evidently being its most ardent supporter.

Moreover, it's not just the conventional hot dog served in a bun that excites Romney, but all varieties of hot dogs. He even states that hot dogs are his favorite meat (is a hot dog classified as meat?), and he enjoys them in various forms. He appreciates them served in buns, without buns (though it's unclear how that works), and even paired with baked beans (either incorporated in the bun or served separately, he doesn't specify).

“I just like hot dogs,” the Utah senator said to whoever was walking backward with his phone.

Frankly, I wasn't aware that Romney—or even the average American—had such a passion for hot dogs. Perhaps this has eluded me since I wasn't born in the United States, but in nearly ten years of residing here, I haven't observed any exceptional fondness for hot dogs.

Indeed, there are numerous delightful hot dogs available, but wouldn't it be fair to say that the burger rules this territory? Regardless, Romney's video comes across as strange, albeit seemingly innocuous.
