Sanders Attacks Pence for Praying Against HIV Epidemic

Apparently Bernie Sanders is not a fan of a faithful man who is spiritually strong! At least that's what I gather after he attacked Vice President Mike Pence for praying against the HIV epidemic. Sanders obviously greatly underestimates the power of prayer!

The Democratic presidential candidate tweeted:

“Trump's plan for the coronavirus so far:

-Cut winter heating assistance for the poor

-Have VP Pence, who wanted to 'pray away' HIV epidemic, oversee the response

-Let ex-pharma lobbyist Alex Azar refuse to guarantee affordable vaccines to all. Disgusting"

Well first of all, the government is extremely corrupt and vaccines aren't safe in the first place. Second of all, what is wrong with prayer? This is the only way Bernie can get in a punch! He is salty that Trump appointed pence as the lead of the coronavirus outbreak.

An outbreak that is not as serious as the media is hyping it up to be, mind you. This is the left's attempt to cause panic and chaos. That is where the real problem lies. People get fearful and panic and clear out the store shelves. Then suddenly there's not enough to go around because everyone is stockpiling for a doomsday that isn't coming.

In his tweet, Sanders also included a video of Azar talking about a vaccine. He said that “we would want to make sure that we worked to make” a vaccine that is affordable, “but we can’t control that price, because we need the private sector to invest.”

The Hill reports:

Pence faced widespread criticism as governor of Indiana following an HIV outbreak in Scott County led to more than 200 cases in 2015 after Pence and GOP state lawmakers defunded Planned Parenthood, which was one of the primary vectors of HIV testing in the county.

The then-governor, asked if he would support a needle exchange program to slow the HIV spread, said, “I’m going to go home and pray on it.” He would later sign legislation for a temporary exchange program two months after the outbreak was initially detected.

Pence said Wednesday at a press conference with Trump and public health officials that his role in a possible coronavirus outbreak would be to bring Trump “the best options for action” and to “see to the safety and well-being and health of the American people.”
