Critics such as Megyn Kelly have strongly criticized Olympian Megan Rapinoe and WNBA player Sue Bird for promoting the inclusion of men in female sports, calling them "selfish activists".
On Monday, the host of the podcast "The Megyn Kelly Show" on Sirius XM took to Twitter to express her opinion to her two million followers. She argued that Megan Rapinoe and Sue Bird, as professional athletes, would not be affected by the inclusion of men in female sports. Instead, she suggested that parents with young girls involved in sports should be the ones to voice their opinions on the matter.
“Their opinions don’t mean more because they are/were pro athletes,” Kelly wrote.
“Anyone who has a daughter has a greater right to be heard than these selfish activists who know this change won’t affect them,” she added. “They can TAKE A SEAT.”

According to the article, the left-leaning political activist Megan Rapinoe has teamed up with other female athletes in opposing the Protection of Girls and Women in Sports Act. This act aims to enforce policies that prevent biological men who identify as trans athletes from participating in female sports teams. Along with Sue Bird and several others, Rapinoe signed a letter addressed to the legislature expressing their opposition to this move.
As per Fox News, the proposed legislation, House Bill 734, seeks to modify Title IX in a way that would recognize an individual's sex based solely on their reproductive biology and genetics at birth. This amendment would apply specifically to athletics, and would be used to ensure compliance with Title IX regulations.
House Bill 734 also said it would be a violation of the act for “a recipient of Federal financial assistance who operates, sponsors, or facilitates athletic programs or activities to permit a person whose sex is male to participate in an athletic program or activity that is designated for women or girls.”
Megyn Kelly has expressed her strong opposition to the inclusion of biological men in female sports, making her stance on the issue very clear.
