During a television appearance on Tuesday, comedian Bill Burr criticized liberals while speaking to late night host Jimmy Kimmel, expressing his views on their political focus.
Burr voiced his opinion that liberals are misguided in their deranged focus on former President Donald Trump, suggesting that their approach may inadvertently elevate Trump to a martyr-like status through multiple indictments.
“You want to see a great case thing on narcissism. Liberals are so fucking stupid the way that they handle Trump,” Burr said.
“What do you mean?” Kimmel questioned
“You should just shut up! He’s a narcissist. Neutral energy. No Trump,” Burr said.
Burr likened Trump to a "one-hit wonder," drawing a parallel with the musician behind "The Twist." He pointed out that liberals, through their extensive media focus on Trump's indictments, have inadvertently kept him in the public eye. He cautioned Kimmel that this attention might contribute to Trump's return, casting him in a martyred light.
“I think he was a one hit wonder. He wrote ‘The Twist,’ and then that was it. He was on the casino circuit and then you idiot liberals wrote him ‘The Twist’ again when you indicted him and now he’s a martyr. He’s coming back, Jimmy. He’s coming back. It’s gonna be great for comedy, he’s coming back.”
He expressed his astonishment at the choice voters face between Trump and President Joe Biden, advocating for the election of a younger candidate, ideally in their 40s, who would experience the long-term consequences of their decisions after leaving office.
Concerns about Biden's age, 81, have been prominent among Democrats and independent voters as the 2024 election approaches. Numerous polls indicate that a majority of Democratic voters favor a different nominee for the next election, primarily due to the president's age.
