Elon Musk Backs Republican Candidate: He'll 'Easily Beat Biden' and 'Don't Even Need to Campaign'

Elon Musk brushed off the thought that Donald Trump should run for president in 2024 with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as his running mate. Musk labeled Trump as "too old" and voiced his support for DeSantis in 2024.

These remarks came from Musk just after Trump launched a heated attack on him.

“I don’t hate the man, but it’s time for Trump to hang up his hat & sail into the sunset,” Musk tweeted. “Dems should also call off the attack – don’t make it so that Trump’s only way to survive is to regain the Presidency.”

Musk replied to someone backing a Trump/DeSantis ticket in 2024 by saying “Trump would be 82 at end of term, which is too old to be chief executive of anything, let alone the United States of America.”

Last month Musk voiced his support for DeSantis in 2024 after backing Andrew Yang in 2020. “I supported Yang last time, but DeSantis has a better chance of winning,” Musk added.

Trump took to Truth Social to launch an all-out attack on Musk.

“When Elon Musk came to the White House asking me for help on all of his many subsidized projects, whether it’s electric cars that don’t drive long enough, driverless cars that crash, or rocketships to nowhere, without which subsidies he’d be worthless, and telling me how he was a big Trump fan and Republican, I could have said, ‘drop to your knees and beg,’ and he would have done it.”

“Now Elon should focus on getting himself out of the Twitter mess because he could owe $44 billion for something that’s perhaps worthless. Also, lots of competition for electric cars!” Trump continued. “P.S., Why was Elon allowed to break the $15 million stock purchase barrier on Twitter without any reporting? That is a very serious breach! Have fun Elon and @jack, go to it!”

When this was shared on Twitter, Musk replied with "lmaooo" and followed that up with the classic "old man yelling at clouds" meme from the Simpsons.

In June Musk announced his first time voting for a Republican when he voted for Mayra Flores, who won a massive upset victory in a special election in Texas's 34th Congressional District.

He pointed out that he no longer votes Democrat because they have become the party of division and hate.

Musk claims all signs are pointing toward a "massive red wave" in the 20222 mid-term elections.
