Time and time again we have to ask whether or not they really believe what they are saying. At the Brisbane Global Climate Strike protesters were busted carrying single-use plastic bottles of water.
At the Global Strike 4 Climate march on Friday in Brisbane there were more than 30,000 people who took to the streets.
Not all of these protesters were on the same page, though. The city's Lord Mayor, Adrian Schrinner, called them out as "very disappointing" in the video he shared to Twitter.
"Very disappointing to see so many single-use plastics at today's environmental rally in Brisbane's CBD," Mayor Schrinner captioned a video on Twitter.
Very disappointing to see so many single-use plastics at today's environmental rally in #Brisbane's CBD. If only they made it to Lord Mayor @Schrinner's mobile office or the recent Green Heart Fair to get their own reusable drink bottles!💚#climatestrike #actionsnotwords pic.twitter.com/pnnbtY8nZk

Many people attacked Schrinner for the video he shared, call him "petty." It seems like if these people truly believe in climate change as much as they suggest they do, then this isn't "petty."

At least pretend like you believe in this climate change stuff. This is comical.
